Dr. Hyman moved his practice to Atlanta in 2000. Prior to that, he'd been working in New York City. His practice serves the spectrum of Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine needs in the City of Atlanta and the region. Though he performs Joint Replacement surgery, his focus is on Joint Preservation and is always striving for cutting edge strategies and solutions keep you well WITH or WITHOUT surgery. He treats the weekend warrior, children ages 13 and over and elderly or infirmed patients that need his services.
Dr. Jon Hyman is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. After excelling in his education at Stanford University and Harvard Medical School, he completed his General Surgery internship at Emory University. He then went on to finish his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship Training at the #1 ranked Orthopaedic program in the United States, the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City.
He has been working as a physician since 1994. Over several years he has taken care of numerous Olympic, Collegiate, Prep and Professional athletes and is the only Orthopaedic Surgeon to work as a Team Physician with these three professional sports teams: Atlanta Hawks (NBA), Atlanta Falcons (NFL), and Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)
